Digital Painting from May 2021

It all started with my little Wacom Bamboo. Once upon a time, I spent $60 on this tiny little tablet and had a taste of drawing on a slate that translated to my screen. Once I started I was hooked, and I began the long hard for a into trying to create the things I saw in my head. It wasn't easy to start — and just like playing guitar I gave up many times before I really started to get anywhere — but eventually, two years later, I sold my first our commission. Then another. And another!

With a little bit of money trickling in for my effort, I thought I was justified in an equipment upgrade. I bought myself a large Wacom Intuos5, gave away my Bamboo to a friend, and now I was able to make large sweeping strokes across an invisible canvas. I spent my days working for a publishing company and my nights slowly tuning my craft. (I would still give up from time to time...something that doesn't really accelerate one's talents, but I always came back.)

Last year, after a string of amazing commissions from my supporters, I was able to buy what I've always wanted: a Wacom Cintiq. Now it's time to justify that one with making more art and better art than I ever have before. Wish me luck!
