Content Updates

July 1 - Lilith 8 & MAGIC MYSTIQUE PRESS!

Ho there, everybody!

It's been a little over five years since I left the big-four publishing world in my for-hire capacity. Since then, I have done a lot of soul searching about all of these things I make and write and draw. Well, it occurs to me, possibly very much later than was absolutely necessary, that I never really took this side of my life seriously.

Now, I don't mean 'taking it seriously' in a way that would take the fun or the humor or the silliness out of the fantasies I love to build with you and for you, but I do mean that I never really took my own words about 'letting an idea come to life' seriously in the way that so many other writers and artists I admire do. It's a way of "running with the kite" that really gives the thing an opportunity to catch an updraft.

Personal update: Katt and I had a child recently. Having a kid made me realize all the places in life where I've been trying to swim with one leg in the pool...in a lot of cases, it made me realize how petty I was in dealing with my own security and confidence regarding my creative capacities, and what I missed out on because I simply wasn't determined enough to do anything with the regularity required to tell an audience "damn it, you guys, I am going to make you the most fun, sexy, twisted story about runaway magic that I possibly can".

Well, gang--I want to do that. Over the next few months, I want to prove to you that I want nothing more than to make that succeed. So many of you believed in me, even at times when I really didn't believe in myself, and I remember that support with every step forward I take. My capacity to self-sabotage has been made all too clear all too recently, but I want to put that behind us once and for all. I want to ask you to join me in taking my stories (and yours) to places we didn't expect to see them. I've been working hard behind the scenes to build up material to present regularly with new patreons for my writing, illustrations, and digital mixed media.

For the first time, we have an ebook published! Loyal readers will recognize "Clotheshorse Captive" as a packaging of Couture Capture, but now I've brought the story to a new audience of ebook readers, and plan to do the same with my other self-authored finished properties here on the site. Again, don't purchase this expecting a brand new story, but if you like my work and want to support our new endeavors, I would be honored if you got yourself a copy and gave us an Amazon review you think we deserve to get us started on our way!
